I long for a love that is filled with the innocence of emptiness

Where blank spaces pave ways to much anticipated realities

Whose eyes have not housed the colours of darkness,

And light has not received its eviction notice..

A love whose lungs do not reminisce on days when suffocation wasn’t their daily bread

Whose lips have never embarked on bitter utterances, sent on a journey to break another’s heart

Whose ears have not danced to hollow words

And hearts have never held on to ghostly promises

Unafraid of soaring high for it has never known of any limits

A love that illuminates rays of potential

And travels far and wide to fulfill them
